We ended the month with 204 votes, blasting past that 200 vote goal by a whopping 2%. I already have a special something worked out for the bonus, but I have to keep hush about it until the latter 2/3 of the month. You like it though, trust me.

And on the note of voting rewards, it's a new month, which means new incentives. This month, you all will get anoher bonus comic if we end December with 200 votes. Because buzzcomix seems to be crazy and not resetting this month, we're going to count it as 200 votes made during the month, though that may vary from the listed total (which currently says 215.) If it doesn't reset, then your goal is 404 total votes. If it resets mid-month or something, I'll have to figure out what it is from there.

Now, I've been hovering around the 115 range on the list the last week or so. If you all are able to bring me up into the top 100, this month, I'm going to up the bonus to two extra comics PLUS some crazy awesome wallpaper. [an error occurred while processing this directive] 11/29/06 [an error occurred while processing this directive] I felt bad about the recent run of quantum mechanics jokes, so here's something a little different. Hope you all enjoy.

Also, we're about 15 votes from the bonus comic. There are only two days left, make them count! [an error occurred while processing this directive] 11/26/06 [an error occurred while processing this directive] It's late November, and we all know what that means. No, not that the holiday season is upon us. That started nearly three months ago. No, it means a never ending stream of tests, papers, projects, and finals between now and the middle of December. Ordinary webcomic artists would buckle under the pressure and start missing updates. I, on the other hand, have planned ahead. I'm currently sitting on 5 drawn, inked, scanned, and finalized comics, which is just enough to ensure that even if I don't get a chance to draw another one until after finals, I still won't miss an update.

I will, however, after the semester ends, do something similar to missing updates. Once a week there will still be a new comic, but in the stead of a second update with a new comic, I will be providing updated versions of the first 20 or so comics. I'm not happy with how badly they were drawn, and even the text that was written on a few of them. This has the double benefit of requiring fewer comics from me during the break, when my source of new material is mostly gone, as well as allowing me to improve the overall quality of the comics on the site during a time when I have the time to do so.

I haven't run the numbers yet, but I plan for each "redrawn comic" update to consist of me making news posts which will inform you of the 3 to 5 comics I have improved over that week. I am wondering though if I should just take off the old versions altogether, or if I should keep both on the site. Please let me know what you think. I've a few more weeks yet to mull over exactly what will happen, and your feedback will help.

Finally, on the topic of feedback, there was recently someone in the Shoutbox complaining about the low character limit for posts on it. I sympathize with this person, having had to made multiple posts and shorted what I was going to say myself. There is a solution to this though, that being the forums I have set up. Not only are they a great way to talk to me without character limits as I read them every day, but I also post copies of my news posts and a thread for each comic update so you can reply to specific things easier.

Ok, I said finally in the last paragraph, but I lied. I want to once again thank everyone for voting. I'm currently comic 118 in the list with 164 votes. It is going to be close for you all to make the 200 vote reward as there are only 5 days left in the month. Something tells me you all are going to do it though and make me draw one more comic before finals are over.
