Updates owed counter: 3
A bit of a departure from the 3 and 4 panel format I have fallen into lately. I'm trying to get this thing published in the school paper, and for that I need a healthy collection of standard sized comics. Worry not though, as crazy formatted comics will still make their appearances whenever I get an idea that requires one.
Next update will be on Friday again, lowering that annoying updates owed counter even further.

Updates owed counter: 4
I'm back. Again. I really am sorry about the sporadic updates of late, and want to thank the 3/4 or so of you (according to my tracking statistics) who have stuck through them with me. The good news is that I don't have anything due by a certain date until school starts up again in late August, so I don't foresee any more problems in the near future (knock on wood.) And while I'm talking about my updating habits, the next update will be FRIDAY, June 15th, 2007. It's a non-regularly scheduled update, so the updates owed counter will finally begin its tick down to 0. Woo!
For today's comic, an interesting note is that I was unable to get the exact image I wanted off of Google Street View. Seems that the image in question is "no longer available." I have to say I did lose a bit of respect for Google when I discovered that they removed the image.
On an additional, tangential, more interesting, and adjective ridden note, I came into possession of a most peculiar find the other day. It's a book on "Natural Philosophy" (what is now known better as physics) printed in 1881. I'ven't gone through the whole thing yet, but already I'm reveling in how outdated and historic the whole thing is. I've enclosed a scan below to show you all what I mean (click on it to see a lower quality, but much larger version.)
